The
technical department is responsible for
overlooking the overall implementation of IT
solutions across government through providing
standards and guidelines. The section consists of the following
departments:
Systems and Applications: Developing systems
development standards and techniques.
Infrastructure: Responsible for establishing
the national network infrastructure along
with guidelines for any government
establishment wishes to construct its own
connectivity.
Quality and Development: This department is
responsible for carrying out the quality
control activities in relation to
information systems. Standards such as the
ITIL and COBIT are implemented here.

and Projects
Section Head:Soadad Hussein
Responsible for managing the government’s
external engagements in the field of IS and IT.
The section also coordinates the effort of
securing funds for the various IS programmes and
projects in the government landscape.Departments
in this section are:
Coordination and Follow-up: Facilitates the
communication within various committees and
task forces working across government.
External Affairs: Responsible for fostering
and developing the government’s external
relationships.
Project Management Office: Implementing a
national project management methodology.
Administration and Finance
Section Head: Abdelazeez Habib
The
section has an internal focus by providing
services for the Centre’s personnel in HR and
administration areas. The section is also
responsible of all finance related issues.The
section consists of the following departments:
Personnel: Day to day management of the
Centre’s staff.
Administration: Overlooking all
administration functions.
